About Saturation

Saturation is a term that describes how strong a colour is without giving any indication of its hue or brightness. A saturation of zero means that the image is greyscale (black & white). On a television, the 'colour' control actually controls the saturation of the colour. In PMIO, saturation is measured as a value between 0% and 100%:

Saturation

PMIO measures the average saturation of every image it encounters while it is creating thumbnails. This information can be used to sort the thumbnails in the order of their overall colour saturation.
